I have spoken about cinnamon before and how you should eat 1/4 teaspoon each day to keep your blood sugar down. Why do I bring this up now? Because, while not directly related to low carbing, it seems that it might not hurt to have curry quite often as well.
According to a report, elderly Indian people have fewer cases of Alzheimers. Therefore, they started studying curry and saw that it reduced the plaque, which may cause or be a byproduct of Alzheimer's, in the brain of rats. They are now starting studies in people. (The fact that Indian people have lower cases of Alzheimers is crucial because there is quite a bit of controversy regarding what role the plaque plays in Alzheimers. Although, you wouldn't know that by most press accounts.)
Initial results in animals also show that curry could help with multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis.
Hey, if you like curry, it shouldn't hurt! (But don't forget the cinnamon! Put it in tea!)
