My Low-Carb Life just opened in Danvers, and it is nice to be able to have a store that is close by to get those things that other stores just don't carry at this time. It is a nice, clean store, with things well-marked, a large selection, and some great prices. For example, they carry Low Carb Creations Cookies for $1.49. This beats even Market Basket's price of $1.99, and puts Shaws totally out in the stratosphere at $3.99. They also carry Walden Farms Chocolate Sauce (not nearly as thick as hot fudge) that is adequate. My kids tried it and they were thrilled to be able to have any sort of topping on their low carb ice cream besides whipped cream.
I tried a low carb cheesecake by Be-Lite Cheesecake. This wasn't cheap at $15, but I wanted to try it since I became so enamored of the TGI Fridays Low Carb Cheesecake. I didn't like it at all, it had a chemical taste to me. My husband, on the other hand, said it tasted just like regular cheesecake. Each piece only had 2 net carbs per serving versus the TGI Friday's cheesecake of 8 net carbs. (I'd rather have the higher carb count.)
I also went to My Low carb Life in Danvers. I found this store to be amazing. Great selection all in one place, very helpful staff, and prices on many items that cant be beat.
