BP Gourmet on Sale at Brooks; Low Carb at Christmas Tree Shop; Low Carb at Ocean State Job Lot

Just recieved the following from another alert reader, Christine!

Katherine

Just wanted so share with you a recent "find". Yesterday I went to my local Brooks to get some passport pictures taken, and to my amazement I saw boxes of BP Gourmet Carb Smart cookies, on SALE, for only $1.24!!! Yes, $1.24!!! I usually pay $2.99 a box!!! Not only was this the FIRST time I've seen BP Gourmet at Brooks, but it's also the FIRST time I've seen them for so cheap. I guess they put them on clearance because no one was buying them. I helped them out by purchasing all that was left (6 boxes, the chocolate covered biscotti and rocky road). I'm going to swing by another Brooks in a neighboring town to see if they have any more or if they have other flavors, preferably the vanilla meringue =)

This is a problem with many stores, people don't know they have low carb products. CVS, I think, has done a pretty good job at advertising what they carry. I don't look at the Walgreen's circular because I just don't like it; I haven't looked at it for years so I don't know if they do a good job too.

Christine also gives me the following for Ocean State Job Lot:

Also, are you located near, or are familiar with a chain discount store called "Ocean State Job Lot"? There are actually a few located around the South Shore area, specifically Quincy and Norwood. Anyways, I don't usually purchase food items at those types of stores, however, I couldn't resist the incredible prices that they had on some newly stocked Lo-Carb items. Items included, but aren't limited to:

Atkins Morning Start Breakfast Cereals (banana nut and blueberry bounty) $1.99
Atkins Pasta Sides (fettucine alfredo, creamy pesto, elbows and cheese) $1.79
Atkins Mixes (pancake, blueberry/corn muffin, chocolate brownie) $1.79
Atkins Shake Mix (chocolate, vanilla, cappacino) $3.99
Sugar Free Maple Groove Syrup (swt w/splenda) $1.49 for 12oz bottle
Roasted and Lightly Salted Soy Nuts $1.49 for 13oz tub
Roberts American Gourmet Soy Chips (bbq, garlic, cheddar) $1.59 for 3.5oz bag
Swedish Crispbread (35 calories/slice, 2g fiber, 5 net carb, no sugar) $.99

And whenever I shop at the Christmas Tree Shop I always find some low carb items. I found some Bella Vita items the last time I was there. I actually purchased Dr. Oetker Mouse Supreme Light Strawberry Mousse Mix (net 3g carbs) for the kids. I haven't made it yet, but it was $1.69. So do check these "out of the way places" as well.
