OK, has anyone tried the new Domino's Low Carb Pizza? I just found out about this, and I could have used the information Wednesday night when I attended a church sleepover in the basement with a group of 8 giggling girls. When I have a large group of kids, I don't try to have all of them eat a low carb meal, it is just too difficult. The one food that most kids can agree on is pizza, and this will let me have large groups of kids more often if it tastes close enough to regular pizza. (I would buy both kinds.) It is more expensive, a medium pizza with 1 topping is $9.99 versus $5 for a regular pizza -- but if it helps us keep the weight down and it is edible, it is worth it. All of the girls voted for Papa John's Pizza versus Dominos, but since I pay for it, I can overrule where we buy the pizza in the future (grin).
I did let my daughter and son eat the regular pizza on Wednesday night. I also supplied Caesar salad and apples to try to give the meal a more healthy component. (Of course, the s'mores weren't much of a help in that regard.)
(BTW, our church is going to give free guitar lessons in the fall, and we told the girls all of the information: how we are looking for donated guitars for the kids to practice with, how the music will be contemporary Christian, and how they can try it without any obligation because the lessons will be free. So my husband played a few songs, the girls sang, and we all ate dinner together. Keeping teens in the church is difficult. We are going to have a boys sleepover night later on in the summer to brief them on the program too.)
