| General | Netrition ships fast and has the lowest prices on the web that I have found. |
| These are the best tortillas to bring to work. They taste just like regular tortillas, but they are loaded with fiber and only have 3 grams of net carbs. | |
Low Carb Jam |
My son loves peanut butter and jelly, but the regular jams are loaded with sugar, and I don’t want to give him jam with NutraSweet. This lets him get what he wants. I have used these jams to make cakes as well. However, my kids and I both prefer the Keto to the Steel’s. (Get it while you can! Keto has gone out of business.) |
| Da Vinci Gourmet Sugar Free Syrups | These are great for flavoring coffee, whipped cream, or putting on low carb pancakes (the pancake flavor.) I'm experimenting with using these syrups with slushes for the kids. You can sometimes pick these up for slightly cheaper at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, but they don’t have the selection and make sure you get the sugar free versus the sugar filled. |
| Dreamfield's Pasta | This is available at some local supermarket chains. It is no longer available at BJ's or Walmart. Read this for a review. |
| Baja Bob’s Low Carb Drink Mixes | I have only tried a few of these, and the desert lime was my favorite. The other types were too sweet. Your mileage may differ. However, I am trying the new martini mixes now for summer drinks and slushes. I'll let you know the outcome. |
| Blanched Almond Flour Unblanched Almond Flour |
I use the blanched flour to make great pie crusts. Just mix with butter and Splenda, spread it in the pie plate with your fingers, and cook in the oven for 6 or 7 minutes at 350 or until the edges turn slightly brown. I also use the unblanched to coat boneless chicken breasts before frying. I have tried to make this from raw almonds with my Cuisinart, but it just doesn’t come out the same. |
| Andres Crackers | If you don't have a Trader Joes around where you can still get low carb tortilla chips to use in place of crackers, this is your best bet. |
CarbSense Products |
The brownie mix really grew on me. I really didn't like the snickerdoodle cookie mix. I loved the pancake mix, but my kids are wedded to Bisquick. (Start the high fiber pancakes young!!!) The pie crust is OK, but my family prefers the homemade almond crust. |
Expert Foods |
I have used the cake-ability product to make a good cake with almond flour. I use just a teaspoon of the Thicken Thin not starch to make gravies. Don’t coat meat with this! If you use too much, it subdues the flavor. I have used the ThickenThin not Cereal to make tapioca pudding. It was pretty good. Go to the Expert foods website for some great recipes. |
| Low Carb Success Sweet Nut’ns | If you don’t want to make your candied nuts, buy them. They are delicious! Great for a low carb gift basket. |
| Just the Cheese Snacks | These snacks are crunchy and they are just made from cheese. I thought some of them were too salty, but my sister-in-law really likes them. |
| Black Soy Beans | I've been looking everywhere for these. They are very low carb and high fiber. I want to try them in my chili. |
| Erythritol Granular Powder | For more, read this. |
| Steel’s Sauces | I like the sweet and sour sauce with kielbasa. You grill up the kielbasa and then put on the sauce. I like the spicy peanut sauce used with stir fry chicken. |
| CarbQuick | Haven't tried this yet, but we'll see... |
| Steel's Desert Sauces | These are not loaded with maltitol! And they have inulin! More here. |
why isn't gatorade on your list? it is good for you and would wash down all this bitter anti-carb stuff well.

Gatorade has tons of carbs, Bob. The whole point of low carb is to avoid the carbs. Don't you read labels?

That seems like a reasonable menu selection to me. Thank you for posting it.

I don't see how Gatorade has a lot of carbs. In fact the main reason I even found this site is because I was putting mine in the freezer because I figured I couldn't have it and saw that it had 3 g of sugar, which then prompted a search for Gatorade and low carb.

According to Gatorade's own website, 8 oz of gatorade contains 14 grams of sugar. Gatorade's propel water has 2 grams per 8 oz. Perhaps this is what you were thinking of?
